With the release of his latest single “thousand miles”, Cody James is ready to find himself again. As a writer, guitarist, singer, and multi-instrumentalist, Cody combines warm and fuzzy tones of rock and folk mixed with blues and pop to create his own version of down-home songwriting.

Cody James emerged as a solo artist in the fall of 2018 and quickly began playing shows and writing songs. He had always been a band member and leader when he felt the need to venture off on his own.

Countless shows around his native Midwest along with multiple tours out east and down south has bolstered his already plentiful touring history. Add two EPs and a few singles in the mix and you’ve got a man ready to take on the world.

Building on the groundwork laid by legendary influences from the likes of Howlin Wolf, Elvis Presley, and Dwight Yoakam, Cody combines warm and fuzzy tones of rock and folk mixed with blues and pop to create his own version of down-home songwriting. Top it all off with healthy doses of surrealistic poetry and you have something new altogether.

Now preparing for a breakout year, Cody remains with his nose to the grindstone as he finishes recording his first full-length album, to be officially announced in due time alongside dates for his supporting shows and tours.
